A Morris County man has been convicted on federal child porn charges.
US Attorney Stephen McAllister says 54-year-old Wesley Wagner was convicted Thursday on two counts, one of receiving child porn and one of possessing child porn. Prosecutors said Wagner had used Playpen, a now-defunct website that provided users access to child pornography. After seizing one of the website’s servers, the FBI used computer forensics to identify users and then search Wagner’s home.
Sentencing is set for Jan. 7.
Wagner could face 5-20 years in federal prison for receiving child porn and another 10 years for possessing it.
