A little rain didn’t deter folks from getting their motors running Saturday.
The third annual Get Your Motor Running run, walk or roll moved to Emporia High School for its event and featured indoor and outdoor options for participants to get in their laps, regardless of their physical abilities. Organizer June Ary says proceeds from the event benefit the Flint Hills Special Education Cooperative in a variety of ways.
After the run, activities took place inside Emporia High School including disc golf, cornhole and other games. Around 50 participants signed up for this year’s event. Ary discusses what makes the event unique.
