Emporia States Jace McDown and Braxton Marstall have been named MIAA players of the week.
Jace McDown is the defensive player of the week after recording a team high 12 tackles, 3 for a loss, forced a fumble and had an interception in the Hornets 28-24 win over Fort Hays State. Braxton Marstall is the co-offensive player of the week. Marstall threw 3 touchdown passes all in the 2nd half. He also rushed for a team high 68 yards. He shares the honor with Northwest Missouri State running back Isaiah Strayhorn who rushed for 147 yards and a touchdown.
