It’s fire prevention week and local fire departments will be spending time at area schools educating students on fire safety.
This was the message shared by Fire Marshall Reason Bradford on Monday’s Newsmaker three segment.
This year’s theme is look, listen and learn and encourages residents to look for signs of fire, listen for smoke detectors and learn alternate exits.
We are now approaching the time of year where residents will be switching on their heaters and furnaces which Bradford says is another major topic of fire prevention.
National Fire Prevention week will run from Monday through Saturday.
