After 5 hour plus delay, due to rain, the 5A State tennis tournament finally is underway.
Emporia Highs Koey Keough was defeated in her first match by Lillie Williams of Maize 6-1, 6-1. Keough was defeated in her second match 9-8 in a match that ended just before 11:30pm.
Play is scheduled to resume Saturday morning at 9am.
