Lyon and several surrounding counties are in freeze warnings for Sunday into early Monday.
The National Weather Service has adjusted times for a warning for Lyon, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties, now setting the timetable from 4-10 am. A separate warning affects Chase and Greenwood counties from 10 pm Sunday until 9 am Monday.
Temperatures will fall for much of the day into the mid-30s by sunset and continue down to around 31 overnight. Light rain is possible through the day with a rain-snow mix possible overnight, meaning there could be some travel difficulties Monday morning — although the possible extent of travel hazards has not been announced.
The NWS says this freeze will end the 2018 growing season.
