So far, so good when it comes to travel after light rain for much of Sunday, followed by temperatures dropping to morning.
A freeze warning remains in effect until 10 am for Lyon, Morris, Osage and Wabaunsee counties, with Chase and Greenwood counties in a separate warning until 9 am. Having said that, Lyon County travel is at full speed.
TV-13 meteorologist Doug Meyers says conditions may actually be colder Tuesday morning.
The National Weather Service has issued another freeze warning from 1-9 am Tuesday for Lyon and most surrounding counties, with Chase and Greenwood in a separate warning from 9 pm Monday through 10 am Tuesday. The Weather Service says sub-freezing temperatures will end the growing season and kill any unprotected outdoor decorative plants.
