The Emporia School District is encouraging parents of young children to attend an annual screening event for developmental issues.
Count Your Kid In takes place at Maynard Early Childhood Center from 9 am to 4 pm, and the event and the district’s team approach towards developmental issues was a highlight of this week’s USD 253 Showcase on KVOE and KVOE.com. Speech-language pathologist Michelle Pringle:

Count Your Kid In will screen for physical development, vision, hearing, language, behavior, coordination and learning concerns. Parents will be contacted in the coming weeks if concerns arise. To schedule a screening appointment, call 341-2483.
