The Emporia State volleyball team took #11 ranked Washburn to 4 sets Tuesday night.
Washburn won the first two sets 25-17, 25-14. Emporia State won the 3rd set 25-23. Washburn won the 4th set 25-23. Coach Bing Xu said they could not overcome a slow start.
Jordan Evans led the Lady Hornets with 12 kills and 24 digs.
Taylor Otting also finished with 12 kills. Jamie Hauptman added 10 kills.
The Lady Hornets are now 11-14 for the season and 5-7 in the MIAA. They play at number 2 ranked Nebraska Kearney on Saturday.
