A preliminary hearing in the case of an Emporia woman accused of theft from the Emporia Senior Center has been continued for the second time.
Lannie Lyman’s attorney Brian Williams requested the continuance as the defense awaits the review of a discovery item from the state. Judge Jeffry Larson set a deadline of next Friday for the prosecution to provide that information to allow both sides ample time to prepare.
Lyman’s next appearance is set for Dec. 20 at 1:15 p.m. Lyman stands accused of taking over $110,000 from the Emporia Senior Center from early 2016 through September 2017 when she was fired.
