Lyon County Clerk Tammy Vopat is reminding residents that Saturday is the start of the advance vote process.
Vopat tells KVOE News there have been some residents that went to the Lyon County Courthouse earlier this week to cast their ballots, and they were turned away.
Saturday marks the first time Lyon County has had an off-site advance voting event in its history. Voting takes place at Flinthills Mall from 9 am to 1 pm. All registered Lyon County voters are encouraged to attend and cast their ballots.
Traditional advance voting starts Monday at the County Courthouse. The general election is Nov. 6.
Valid ID is required to vote.
