Area residents will take their best shots to help support local 4H programs.
The inaugural Gary Fuller Memorial Shootout is taking place this Saturday. Participants will shoot for an assortment of prizes in two age categories.
Event organizer Lisa Fuller explains the event will consist of three rounds.
The age categories will consist of ann 11-17 age group and an 18 and up division. All proceeds will go back into the Gary Fuller Memorial Fund which supports local 4H activities. Participants must bring their own shotgun, a lawn chair, and shells.
Along with the shooting and prizes, there will also be an assortment of silent auction and raffle items available. A pulled pork lunch will also be provided by Lonesome Dove Saloon.
The event will be held at the Fuller Family Shop located at 1955 Road M north of Emporia. Registration will begin at 8 am with shooting starting at 10.
The cost to compete for the prizes is $30 a round. If you are not wishing to compete for prizes you may still shoot for $10 a round.
