Trial is slated to begin next week for an Emporia teenager accused of leading local law enforcement on a lengthy pursuit back in May.
Andrew Reisen, Jr., has a final pretrial hearing at 2 pm Wednesday in Lyon County District Court.
Reisen allegedly led an overall chase both in and near Emporia, with speeds outside the city limits exceeding 130 mph. Authorities had to terminate the chase at least three times due to speed before arresting Reisen after a motorcycle crash in the 1700 block of Highland.
Reisen was originally charged with multiple counts, including three charges of felony flee and elude and two counts of reckless driving. Depending on the results of Wednesday’s hearing, trial could begin Monday in the case.
