The woman who allegedly stole an SUV with a boat and trailer in tow has a preliminary hearing date.
Crista Hinostroza, 32, will be back in court at 3 pm Nov. 29 after her first appearance in Lyon County District Court on Wednesday.
Hinostroza is formally charged with theft of property or services ranging from $25,000 to $100,000. She’s also charged with flee and elude or, in the alternate, interference with law enforcement.
Charges came down this week after Hinostroza allegedly stole the SUV and boat from an alley in the 1100 block of Neosho and then led officers on a chase that ended in the 1500 block of East Logan on Saturday. Court records show speeds approached 60 mph at one point, although speeds were reported at around 30-40 mph for much of the chase.
