The teenager who allegedly drove a motorcycle at high speeds in and around Emporia during a pursuit this past spring has offered no-contest pleas in the case.
Andrew Reisen, 19, was facing three counts of felony flee and elude along with two counts of reckless driving after a chase in mid-May. On Wednesday, he pleaded to three counts of misdemeanor flee and elude. Other counts were dropped.
Reisen allegedly led an overall chase both in and near Emporia, with speeds outside the city limits exceeding 130 mph. Authorities had to terminate the chase at least three times due to speed before arresting Reisen after a motorcycle crash in the 1700 block of Highland.
Word on a sentencing date is pending.
