The Emporia State volleyball team took #15 Central Missouri to 5 sets Sunday.
Central Missouri won the first 2 sets 25-21, 25-17. Emporia State bounced back to win the 3rd set 25-22 and won the 4th set 25-20. Central Missouri won the 5th and deciding set 15-10. Emporia State Coach Bing Xu pleased with the effort.
Emporia State was led by Taylor Otting with 20 kills.
Jordan Evans added 18 kills and Aliyah Bernard finished with 15 kills. Emma Dixon had 58 assists and Allie Maloney finished with 34 digs.
The Lady Hornets fall to 12-17 for the season and 6-10 in the MIAA. They will close out the regular season next Friday and Saturday against Pittsburg State and Central Oklahoma.
