Barely a week remains before the general election next week.
Lyon County voters seeking mail ballots have until 5 pm Tuesday to do so, and those requests have to be made either in person to fill out the necessary paperwork or online. That information is available at the Election Office inside the Lyon County Courthouse or by going online to www.lyoncounty.org. If going online, hover over the “Government” drop-down tab, click on “Election Office” and select “Mail Ballot Application.”
Advance voting continues until noon Nov. 5. As of Monday morning, nearly 1,200 Lyon County voters have already cast their ballots. That does not include the roughly 600 mail ballots that have already been sent out
