Even though the official season of giving is still a few months away, residents have a chance to donate for the benefit of Plumb Place.
Melissa Bailey, an Emporia State University professor, is at the helm for the third annual Rural Street Food Drive.
Bailey’s high hopes for involvement aren’t just for the kids either as many students have volunteered to help.
Rural Street will be blocked off from 12th through 15th avenue to provide a safe and festive environment for all who choose to participate. Food can be dropped off behind the barriers at 12th and 15th avenue.
The Rural Street Food Drive will be on Halloween night from 5-9 in the evening.
