The Emporia High football team is preparing for their 2nd round play-off game at Wichita Northwest. Northwest is the top seed on the west side.
Emporia High Coach Corby Milleson says they are a loaded team.
Kick-off Friday at Northwest High School is set for 7pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM.
6 area high school football teams will be playing Friday night.
In 8-Man Division I
Madison hosts Solomon. That game will be broadcast on Country 101.7.
Burlingame at Canton Galva.
In 8-Man Division II
Waverly hosts Southern Coffey County.
In 1A play- Olpe hosts Pleasanton.
In 2A play Osage City is at Humboldt.
Emporia High Junior Hayden Pauls has been invited to participate in the Army All-American game combine. The combine will be held the same weekend as the High School All- American bowl in San Antonio, Texas. January 3rd thru 5th. He is 1 of 1500 athletes invited to participate in the combine.
