Its week 2 of the High School football playoffs. Emporia High plays at Wichita Northwest. 6 area high school teams are scheduled to play Friday.
Emporia High takes a 5-4 record into the game. Northwest is the only undefeated team on the west side of 5A.
Emporia High Coach Corby Milleson says there are two big keys to winning the game.
Senior Myles Livingston says this will be a physical game.
Senior Gabe Galindo says they will need to work together.
Kick-off at Wichita Northwest is set for 7pm. The game will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9FM. The winner will advance to face either Bishop Carroll or Salina Central.
The featured game on Country 101.7 has Madison hosting Solomon in 8-Man Division 1 play. The Bulldogs are undefeated at 9-0. Solomon is 8-1. Madison Coach Alex McMillian says this will be a match up of two similar teams.
Kick-off in Madison is set for 7pm.
