Oh what a night at White it was for the Emporia State volleyball team. The Lady Hornets defeated 17th ranked Central Oklahoma in 5 sets on senior night.
Central won the first 2 sets 25-22 and 28-26. Emporia State rallied to win the 3rd set 31-29. They would win the 4th set 25-20. Emporia State never trailed in the 5th set and won 15-11. Senior Jamie Hauptman had a match high 23 kills.
Sophomore Yuchen Du had a triple double of 18 kills, 26 assists and 29 digs.
Aliyah Bernard finished 14 kills, Jordan Evans had 11 kills and Tatum Graves had 10 kills.
The Lady Hornets improve to 14-17 for the season and finished MIAA play with a 8-10 record. They will be the 7th seed in the MIAA tournament and will play at Washburn the number 2 seed on Tuesday.
