Less than three weeks after Osage County authorities arrested two men on suspicion of auto burglaries, deputies say more reports of burglaries have developed.
Burglaries have been reported near Carbondale and Mission Valley as well as a rural area in northwest Osage County.
Deputies encourage people to be vigilant, even with seemingly innocent requests to use your phone. They also say most recent burglaries have happened just after people have left their homes.
If you have information, call the Osage County Sheriff’s Office at 785-828-3121 or Osage County Crime Stoppers at 877-OS-CRIME.
Last month, 19-year-old Trivette Alvarado and 21-year-old Aaron Griffith were charged in Osage County District Court with 33 counts of burglary to a vehicle, 26 counts of theft and two counts of criminal damage to property. The incidents stemmed from a total of 29 car burglaries that occurred in Scranton, Carbondale and Overbrook.
A third suspect’s name is being withheld until officers can make the arrest.
