Lyon County deputies are putting special attention on a recent car theft.
Deputies say a white 2000 Toyota Avalon was stolen from the area of Road 140 and K at some point in the first two weeks of October. The car had actually been driven through floodwaters and then left in the area.
The car has the Kansas tag 699 KZK. It has damage to the front driver-side fender and a hubcap missing from the back passenger-side tire. The black window tinting is bubbling up and some of it is missing. The car battery was also removed from the car before it was stolen.
