The Emporia State football team closed out the regular season with a 35-28 win over Central Oklahoma Saturday.
The Hornets forced 4 turnovers and scored 21 points off those turnovers. Lawson Holbert had an interception in the 4th quarter to set up Emporia State final touchdown.
Braxton Marstall scored the final touchdown on a 46 yard run. He also threw 3 touchdown passes.
Landon Nault gave the Hornets a 28-21 lead on a 7 yard run.
Emporia State Coach Garin Higgins said they earned the win.
The Hornets finish the regular season with a 7-4 record and have received an invitation to play in the Corsicana Bowl on Decmeber 1st.
They will play Arkansas Monticello. The Boll Weevils were 6-5 this past season and finished in 4th place in the Great American Conference.
