A special information event for seniors and caregivers is taking place at the Lyon County Fairgrounds this week.
Senior Health Insurance Counselors of Kansas will be at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for Medicare assistance. Counselors will provide help for seniors sorting through Medicare Parts A and B, as well as helping people understanding the supplemental insurance options, appealing bills or enrolling into Medicare.
SHICK counselors will be at the Anderson Building from 9 am to 4 pm all three days. Counseling is made possible through a partnership involving the North Central-Flint Hills Area Agency on Aging, Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services and Lyon County Aging Services Department.
