Members of the USD 251 North Lyon County School Board have several updates planned for their meeting Wednesday night.
The board will field updates from Interim Superintendent Mike Mathes on the ongoing Patron Insight survey for district patrons. The outside agency has been calling patrons since late October, and the district has also offered an online survey on its website, www.usd251.org.
In addition, board members will get updates on the district budget and facility needs. Board policy updates through the Kansas Association of School Boards are on the agenda as well as an item to consider what’s called an audit engagement letter.
On top of those items, the board will consider a plan to replace Mathes, who signed on as interim superintendent to replace former superintendent Aron Dody after leading Topeka Seaman for more than 20 years.
The meeting starts at 7 pm at the board office in Americus.
