The Kansas Turnpike Authority has now divulged more information about an injury crash that happened in snowy conditions on the highway in Chase County on Monday.
Around 6:45 am, 44-year-old Jayson Oliver of Valley Falls was southbound and in the process of passing a semi near mile marker 106. Oliver’s SUV began sliding during the passing attempt. Oliver eventually spun out, with his SUV then going off the highway and overturning.
Oliver was taken to Newman Regional Health for treatment. His condition will not be released. The semi was not involved in the crash.
