Messiah Lutheran Church is holding its annual Harvest Home Festival on Saturday.
The fundraising event has featured numerous components for years, and event spokesman Greg Larson says extensive planning is needed to make the event successful.
Doors open at 8 am at the Fairgrounds Anderson Building with breakfast being served from 8-10 am, the auction starting at 9:30 am and a community dinner feed from 11 am to 2 pm. In addition, there will be several specialty booths, including the Christmas Corner and Jelly Cupboard.
Proceeds will be split between CASA of the Flint Hills, Loving Hands Foster Care Ministry, Emporia Rescue Mission and Abundant Harvest and LCMS Mission Central.
