There is an outside chance of freezing drizzle accumulating Saturday night which may impact travel conditions in the KVOE listening area through Sunday morning.
The National Weather Service in Topeka predicts freezing drizzle beginning around 9 p.m. Saturday affecting Lyon and surrounding counties. With temperatures dropping to the mid 20’s Saturday evening motorists are asked to use caution while on the roadways at night into the early morning.
TV-13 Weathercaster Peyton Sanders says while the potential for slick spots is not large, it is better to err on the side of caution.
Sunday temperatures are expected to remain low in the mid 30’s through the day and drop into the lower 20’s into the evening. Travel conditions will be quite fair during the Holiday week with high temperatures rising and remaining in the upper 50’s starting Monday.
