The Olpe High School football team will travel to Hays Friday as they continue to prepare for the 1A State Championship game against defending 2-1A champion Smith Center. Its a rematch of the 2008 State Championship game won by Smith Center.
Olpe Coach Chris Schmidt says they will need to do the little things well.
Senior Jacob Argabright says advancing to the State Championship game is a long time goal.
Senior Carter Cox says its a goal that goes way back.
Senior Camden Hoelting says they put in a lot work in this season.
The Eagles are 12-0. Smith Center is 11-1. Kick-off Saturday is set for 1pm.
Emporia States Welch Stadium will be hosting the 6A State Championship game with 12-0 Derby playing 9-3 and defending 6A state champion Blue Valley North. Kick-off is set for 1pm.
