The Kansas Jayhawks needed overtime to defeat Tennessee 87-81 in the NIT Season Tip-off tournament Friday night.
Dedrick Lawson led KU with a double-double of 24 points and 13 rebounds. He was named the tournaments mvp. Devon Dotson added 17 points and Lagerald Vick finished with 15 points.
The Jayhawks are now 5-0 and will host Stanford next Saturday.
