The Emporia State women improved to 5-1 for the season with a 72-60 win over Northern State Saturday.
Coach Toby Wynn was pleased with the Lady Hornets defensive effort.
Emporia State held Northern State to 38 percent shooting on the night and forced 13 turnovers and scored 20 points off the turnovers.
Addie Lackey led the Emporia State women with 23 points.
Jessica Wayne added 14 points, Kali Martin finished with 13 points and Tiana Moala scored 10 points.
The Lady Hornets are off until next Saturday when they host Newman.
