The Emporia State womens basketball team slipped 1 spot in this weeks National Coaches poll, they are ranked 25th this week. They are 1 of 3 MIAA teams in the top 25. Central Missouri is ranked 7th and Fort Hays State is ranked 10th.
One of the strengths for the Lady Hornets is the ability to score off of turnovers. Coach Toby Wynn says that is a focus.
The 5-1 Lady Hornets return to action Saturday when they host Newman.
The Emporia State men will be hosting Rogers State Saturday. Coach Craig Doty says a focus during the non-conference will be finding the right combination of players coming off the bench.
Game times Saturday are 5:30 for the women and 7:30 for the men.
