State offices will be closed across Kansas on Wednesday.
Gov. Jeff Colyer made the announcement Monday morning in honor of George H.W. Bush, the nation’s 41st President, who passed away Friday at age 94.
The announcement is in step with the National Day of Mourning to honor Bush as announced over the weekend. Flags will fly at half-staff for 30 days. Funeral services are Thursday at the Bush Presidential Library in College Station, Texas.
