With trial looming next week, a final pretrial hearing is on the Lyon County District Court docket Wednesday for a rape suspect.
Edgar Hilberto Gonzalez, 47, is charged with single counts of rape and aggravated criminal sodomy after an alleged incident from early this year. He’s accused of sexually assaulting a then-18-year-old person in early January. The affidavit in this case has been sealed, so additional details have not been released.
The hearing is at 3:30 pm. Trial is set to begin Monday morning with jury selection.
