An Osage County man has been arrested in connection with a burglary in the state capitol earlier this week.
KVOE’s television partner WIBW in Topeka says 32-year-old Jacob Johnson of Carbondale was arrested early Friday after a burglary alarm sounded at a business in the 2700 block of Northwest Button Road in northwest Topeka. Johnson and 44-year-old James Emit of Topeka were allegedly on the property in a suspicious vehicle. Further details are pending as the investigation continues.
Johnson was arrested on suspicion of criminal trespass and theft. Emit, meanwhile, was booked on suspicion of criminal use of a firearm, criminal trespass and driving without a license. Word on formal charges is pending.
