Saturday evening, the Bowyer Building hosted the first annual Brianna Mundy ESU Scholarship Fund Christmas Ball for a memorable night of food, drinks, and dance.
Brianna Mundy was a student at Emporia State University before passing away from an embolism, after having suffered from issues with spina bifida during her life. Mundy’s mother, Vivian Steavenson talks about her daughter’s life.
The Brianna Mundy Christmas Ball occurred ten years after her unfortunate passing. Steavenson has much excitement for the event and knows her daughter would want for future art students to have these funds.
The night’s events included a silent auction of various items from more than thirty donors, a raffle, professional photography, dinner and drinks, and music and dancing.
The fundraiser must raise at least $7,000 to be officially endowed at ESU, and a total count of the night’s funds is still pending.
