The Number 1 ranked Kansas Jayhawks held on for a 74-71 win over 17th ranked Villanova Saturday.
Villanova out scored the Jayhawks 11-7 in the final 50 seconds but could never take the lead or get the game tied. The game featured 8 ties and 8 lead changes. The biggest lead for Kansas was by 9. The biggest lead for Villanova was by 5. Lagerald Vick scored a game high 29 points to lead the Jayhawks.
Dedric Lawson finished with 28 points and 12 rebounds. Devon Dotson added 10 points to the win. Kansas improves to 9-0 for the season. They will host South Dakota Tuesday night.
