Lyon County deputies are investigating after a report of shots fired near northwest Emporia from early Monday, but the time difference between the incident and the report may hamper the investigation.
KVOE News was alerted to a report of shots fired near 30th and Prairie around 5:30 am. However, the incident wasn’t reported to authorities until around 7 am.
Currently, there is no word on any potential suspects or any confirmation of whether shots were actually fired, but Undersheriff John Koelsch says legal hunting was a possibility. Further details are pending.
