The Kansas Jayhawks remain the top ranked team in this weeks AP and USAToday Coaches mens basketball polls.
The Jayhawks are 9-0 for the season. Duke is ranked number 2 in both polls. In the AP poll Tennessee, Michigan and Virginia round out the top 5. In the Coaches poll Virginia is ranked 3rd followed by Tennessee and Michigan in the top 5.
Texas Tech is ranked 12th in the AP poll and 11th in the Coaches Poll.
Kansas State has dropped out of the top 25 in both polls.

KUs Dedric Lawson was named the Big-12s newcomer of the week after posting his 6th double-double in Saturdays win over Villanova. This is the second time this season Lawson has earned the newcomer honor and his fourth conference weekly award this season.
