Eric Hawkins will be in Lyon County District Court on Friday for a pretrial hearing.
Hawkins was bound over for trial on sexual misconduct charges last month.
The former Emporia chiropractor has been charged with aggravated sexual battery against a then-22-year-old woman dating back to an alleged incident in February. He also faces a sex battery charge, with an alternate count of battery, against a then-32-year-old woman for an alleged incident in March 2015. In addition, he is charged with rape of a then-16-year-old following an alleged incident in November 2015.
Charges developed after a complaint led the Kansas Board of Healing Arts to suspend Hawkins’ chiropractic license. Hawkins was originally charged with aggravated sexual battery against the 22-year-old and sexual battery or battery against the 32-year-old, with the rape count added later. The current amended complaint dismissed an alternate rape count filed earlier this fall.
