Probation is the sentence for an Emporia woman who led local law enforcement on a chase from Emporia to Hartford in August.
Samantha Scheve was sentenced to 9 months Friday. Her sentence carries an underlying prison term of 9 months, so any violation would send her to prison.
Scheve allegedly drove away from Emporia Police officers on Aug. 3 as law enforcement was in the process of finding a later co-defendant, Ethan Peterson, who was wanted on a drug warrant.
Scheve pleaded no contest to misdemeanor flee and elude last month. Peterson, meanwhile, has several separate court proceedings underway in Lyon County District Court.
