Members of the Kansas House now have their committee assignments in advance of the 2019 legislative session beginning next month. Two area representatives will have committee leadership positions during the 2019 session.
Representing the 60th District, Mark Schreiber has been named to the Agriculture and Education committees.
Representing the 51st District, Ron Highland will chair the Agriculture Committee. He will also serve on the Rural Revitalization and Commerce, Labor and Economic Development committees.
Representing the 76th District, Eric Smith is the vice chair of the Agriculture Committee. He will also be on the Federal and State Affairs committee.
The session begins Jan. 14.
