The Kansas Highway Patrol says an Americus man was airlifted after a motorcycle crash in eastern Lyon County on Christmas Day.
The Highway Patrol says 47-year-old Leonard Crane was first taken to Newman Regional Health after the crash at Roads 110 and W just before 4:30 pm. He was later airlifted to Wesley Medical Center in Wichita for additional treatment. The hospital is not releasing his condition.
Crane was northbound on Road W but didn’t make the curve connecting that county road with Road 110. Instead, the motorcycle went straight into a field and flipped end-over-end several times. Crane was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
