The Kansas City Chiefs wrapped up home field advantage throughout the playoffs with a dominating 35-3 win over the Oakland Raiders Sunday.
Coach Andy Reid said they played with energy.
Patrick Mahomes threw 2 touchdown passes, a 67 yard strike to Tyreek Hill and a 89 yard pass to Demarcus Robinson. Mahomes said a good early start was key.
Mahomes finishes the regular season with 50 touchdown passes. He also surpassed the 5000 yard passing mark becoming only the 2nd QB in NFL History to throw 50 touchdown passes and for over 5000 yards in a season.
Tyreek Hill set the Chiefs single season record for receiving yards. He also scored on a 15 yard run. Damien Williams also scored on a 4 yard touchdown run. The Chiefs defense stepped up big time. Justin Houston had strip sack and fumble recovery. Houston said the offense made the defenses job easier.

Dee Ford also had a sack with a forced fumble. Daniel Sorensen had a pick 6. Reggie Ragland also had an interception.
With the win the Chiefs receive a first round bye in the playoffs and will have home field advantage throughout the play-offs. They will host either the Ravens, Chargers or Colts on Saturday January 12 with kickoff at 3:35p. New England is the number 2 seed in the AFC play-offs.
In the Wildcard round In the AFC Indianapolis is at Houston on Saturday. Sunday the Los Angeles Chargers are at Baltimore.
In the NFC Seattle is at Dallas on Saturday. Sunday Philadelphia plays at Chicago.
New Orleans is the top seed in the NFC. The Los Angeles Rams are the number 2 seed.
