The Kansas Jayhawks opened defense of their Big-12 Championship with a 70-63 win over Oklahoma.
The Jayhawks trailed by 7 early in the game but would use a 21-4 run to take a 15 point lead by halftime. In the 2nd half Oklahoma cut the lead to 4. Kansas Coach Bill Self says the starts of each half was not good.
Devon Dotson led Kansas with 16 points. Quentin Grimes added 14, Derick Lawson finished with 13 points and 15 rebounds, his 9th double-double and Lagerald Vick scored 12 points. The Jayhawks are now 12-1 and 1-0 in the Big-12. They play at Iowa State Saturday.
