The High School basketball season resumes Friday night. Emporia High will be hosting Topeka Seaman in a Centennial League showdown.
The Emporia High girls take a 2-5 record into the the game. They are 1-3 in league play. The Seaman girls are 3-2 overall and 2-1 in league play. Emporia High Freshman Gracie Gilpin is hoping the work they put in during the Christmas break pays off.
The Emporia High boys are 5-2 overall and 2-2 in league play. The Seaman boys are 4-1 overall and 2-1 in league play.
Senior Cameron Kienholz says the way they went into the Christmas break, with a loss at Topeka High, has been a motivator.
Game times at Emporia High are 6pm for the girls and 7:30 for the boys. Both games will be broadcast on KVOE 1400AM/96.9 FM and streamed on-line at kvoe.com and via the kvoe mobile app.
