16 hopeful contestants convened at Triad Leasing Saturday morning to learn which team would carry there chance at a 49-inch television from Triad Leasing to begin the second phase of the “Watch the Chiefs” promotion.
Each of the 16 contestants had the chance to pick a square and select the team that they will be following throughout the NFL playoffs this season. Safe to say the happiest contestant was first-time qualifier John Morrison who drew just about everyone’s favorite the Kansas City Chiefs.
He’ll have to wait a week to see if the Chief’s ambitions at reaching the Super Bowl for the first time since 1970 will continue as they have a bi-week and will face either the Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts or Los Angeles Chargers next weekend.
Morrison says regardless of the competition he just wants to see the Chiefs win it all.
Dale Baker with Triad Leasing says along with the contestants, they’ll also be glued to the tv throughout the playoffs to see who will claim the 49-inch television.
Throughout the NFL regular season listeners to Country 101.7 FM had a chance to name two mystery players during each game. Those that were able to do so not only qualified for the chance to win the television but also received a free one-topping pizza from Gambino’s.
Four participants were eliminated from the contest as they put their names above squares saying “Better Luck Next Year.”
