A Wabaunsee County man was hurt in a crash near Topeka on Monday night.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says the crash happened at the junction of US Highway 24 and Countryside Road, just northwest of Topeka, around 9 pm. Alexander Eddy, 18, of Harveyville, was northbound on Countryside Road and failed to stop at the intersection. Eddy’s pickup then hit a car driven by 23-year-old Taylor Vandeloo of Lancaster.
Eddy was taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka with suspected minor injuries. Vandeloo had possible injuries but was also taken to Stormont-Vail for observation and possible treatment.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts when the crash happened.
