The Emporia High wrestling team will be one of 30 teams competing at the Newton tournament of champions.
Sophomore Ethan Garate will be wrestling at 152 pounds. He is coming off two wins in the duels with Paola and Topeka Seaman.
Matches begin Friday and will wrap up Saturday.
